Spring wildflower walk...

Chloe and I went with my parents this morning on a spring wildflower walk. This is one of our favorite things to do this time of year. The woodland and marshy areas are full of spring surprises, like the yellow lady slipper (above). My mom and I love trying to identify the different wildflowers. Below you see bluebells, trillium, jack-in-the-pulpit, wild violet, and marsh marigold. Enjoy a stroll through the spring woods of Minnesota...

Your photos are gorgeous. We have many of the same flowers here in TN. I've enjoyed visiting your blog. xoxo

Thanks for the reminder. I'm in WI. I've been so busy planting in the yarden, that I've forgotten to wander through the natural woodlands.

So pretty! Thanks for sharing the photos. And it's nice to take a walk and pay attention to the flowers which sometimes people don't do. :) Stop and smell the flowers/roses.

What a lovely book -
I think we are slightly ahead of you in the season as all the pink flowers are gone and the leaves seem to erupt within a day 2 weeks ago. But we still have bluebells around.. Have a nice week-end

Wow! Those are so incredibly beautiful! I've never been to Minnesota in the spring, so that is so lovely to see. Actually I've never been to Minnesota at all, even though I have some roots there.
Thanks for sharing your walk through the woods!
