first of September= fair day!

There's no better way to ring in a beautiful, crisp first day of September than a day at the state fair. A late-summer highlight for us!So much food....So many fun rides....
baby animals...

heads carved in butter... award winning crops....

and creative endeavors.
What a fun day we had.

Wow...that is one wickedly huge slide!!! Looks like a great place to visit for the day... A good way to end summer.

That looks like such fun! I miss going to fairs - they don't seem to come around here as much as they did when I was a child.

i love the huge slide! sooo fun:) My favorite is the 4H display, it always reminds me of my mom!

I miss the Minnesota State Fair at the fairgrounds in St. Paul. When we lived there we used to go every year. I even entered some of my weaving. Haven't found a state fair to match it yet.
